This year, on Wednesday, March 23, the Los Angeles County Bar Association will hold its 2011 Outstanding Corporate Counsel Award Dinner to honor an in-house counsel who has demonstrated exceptional performance and career achievement.
The dinner will be held at the Biltmore Hotel, 506 South Grand Avenue in Los Angeles.
This year's recipient is Rebecca Prentice, executive vice president and general counsel, Paramount Pictures Corporation. Ms. Prentice is a leader in the entertainment bar and has been named among The Hollywood Reporter's Power 100 Women in Entertainment in 2008, 2009 and 2010.
The evening will also feature a speaker, Frederick Huntsberry, chief operating officer of Paramount pictures. He was named to the post in 2006 and is responsible for worldwide strategic planning and operations for the studio, including finance, human resources, industrial relations, community and government relations, and the office of general counsel. Mr. Huntsberry is a tireless public advocate on the topic of intellectual property protection in the U.S. and internationally.
The event will begin at 6:00 p.m. with a hosted reception, and dinner will begin at 7:00 p.m. A donation will be made to a local law school, this year Loyola Law School, to fund a scholarship for a deserving student.
Companies and firms that purchase a table of eight by March 4 will be listed in the Award Dinner Tribute book. To request a reservation form with pricing details, email [email protected].
