JAMS announces the addition of Hon. Faith Ireland (Ret.) to its panel. Justice Ireland brings over 20 years of judicial experience, including being a justice of Washington’s court of last resort for civil, criminal and constitutional matters. While serving as a King County Superior Court judge, she dealt with matters involving felonies, civil litigation, juvenile offenders, child welfare and mental illness.
Based in the Seattle Resolution Center, Justice Ireland will serve as an arbitrator, mediator, special master/referee and neutral evaluator, handling disputes in the areas of business/commercial, class action/mass torts, construction, employment, family law, health care, higher education and Title IX, personal injury/torts, professional liability and real estate.
Prior to JAMS, Justice Ireland spent nearly 15 years as a neutral, offering services such as mediation, arbitration and appellate neutral analysis. While in private practice, she represented insurance carriers, individuals and corporations in tort litigation, business, tax, family law and real estate matters. She also received the Judicial Leadership Award from Access to Justice in 2005.
Justice Ireland received her B.A. from the University of Washington; her M.S., with honors, from Golden Gate University; and her J.D. from Willamette University School of Law.
