On Tuesday, September 27, The Bar Association of San Francisco will offer an evening seminar, H-1B Visas for Specialty Occupations, to coverthe basic requirements of H1-B petitions and the preparation of an H-1B petition from start to finish.
It will run from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the BASF Conference Center, 301 Battery Street in San Francisco.
Speakers Maxine Bayley, Duane Morris LLP, and Tiffany Hill, Pearl Law Group, will cover the following topics: H-1B quota timing and travel issues; first-time H-1B employers and FEIN verification; defining employer and employee; degrees and specialty occupations; prevailing Wage, Labor Condition Application and Public Access File retention; letter of support and forms for the final package; fees; H-1B transfers, portability and extensions under "AC21"; consular processing and dependents; and troubleshooting advanced issues, such as requests for evidence, startup issues, and ongoing employer obligations.
