A Survey of the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act is the title of a program being offered by the Pennsylvania Bar Institute on two dates in June in Pennsylvania. On Tuesday, June 16, the program will be held at The CLE Conference Center, Wanamaker Building, Philadelphia; on Tuesday, June 23, the course will take place at the PBI Professional Development Conference Center, Heinz 57 Center, 339 Sixth Avenue, Pittsburgh. On both days the seminar will begin at 9:00 a.m. and conclude at 12:15 p.m.
As more businesses trade overseas, the provisions of the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act are affecting the nature of how companies are conducting their operations. PBI intends their course to provide participants with an overview of the FCPA, a history of the Act, and how it is to be applied.
The faculty for this program will consist of Robert J. Ridge and Peter K. Blume, Thorp, Reed & Armstrong, LLP; and Amy J. Greer, Reed Smith LLP.
