On Thursday, May 7, the Washington State Bar Association will host the Advanced e-Discovery Conference. The program will be held at the Washington State Convention and Trade Center, Pike Street, Seattle, Washington, from 8:25 a.m. until 5:15 p.m.
Intended for professionals who want to go beyond the basics to expand their technical and legal knowledge and gain insight into emerging issues, the program's list of presenters will include providers of technical support services, judges, as well as in-house and outside counsel. Co-chairs for the program will be Martha J. Dawson and Todd L. Nunn, K&L Gates LLP.
Topics to be covered in the conference include effective communication with IT personnel and vendors, best practices for data search and retrieval, admissibility of ESI and protection of privileged information, an update on ethics issues specific to ESI, and practical concerns of in-house counsel, including cost containment.
