On Wednesday, January 12, PLI will present Drafting and Negotiating Corporate Agreements 2011 at the PLI California Center, 685 Market Street in San Francisco. It will run from 9:00 a.m. until 5:15 p.m.
The seminar will teach attendees how to reduce a client's goals to a complete, clearly written, and enforceable agreement that includes issues most likely to come up in a negotiation of that agreement. Attendees will learn how the provisions of an agreement fit together and the fundamental drafting principles common to all corporate agreements. They will understand where tough issues usually arise and what can be done to effectively solve those issues. They will hear from litigators about how to draft contracts with enforcement in mind and the common ethical issues in drafting corporate agreements.
Among the faculty are Barry A. Graynor, Cooley LLP; Scott B. Joachim, Perkins Coie LLP; and Paula M. Weber, Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman LLP.
