Baker Botts announces partners Dr. Johannes Koepp and Andrew Behrman have assumed roles as co-chairs of the newly named International Disputes Group. Both partners take over from Jay Alexander and Michael Goldberg who created the group 20 years ago.
“Jay and Mike demonstrated far-reaching vision and strong leadership as they built a world-class practice. They are leaving the group in a formidable state,” said Andrew Behrman. “The quality of our lawyers, the sense of collegiality and friendship, our current portfolio of cases, as well as the pipeline: we have never been stronger. The group’s new name – International Disputes Group – displays the breadth of one of the world’s leading international arbitration and disputes practices in the areas of International Commercial Arbitration, Investor State Disputes, Public International Law, and Multijurisdictional Litigation. Partner Dr. Alejandro Escobar has been appointed to the newly formed chair of the Public International Law practice within the International Disputes Group.
Koepp and Behrman will be at the helm of an exceptional team of over 50 lawyers across North America, Europe, and the Middle East handling International Dispute matters.
