On Monday, September 12, the District of Columbia Bar presents a program examining ERISA Litigation: the Impact of Amara and Other Recent Cases. It will be located at the DC Bar Conference Center at 1101 K. Street, NW in DC, and it begins at 6:00 and ends at 9:15 p.m.
The U.S. Supreme Court recently issued its opinion in CIGNA Corp v. Amara, which addressed participant disclosures and equitable remedies. Panelists will discuss the significance of this decision, its potential implications for pleading ERISA cases, and burdens of proof. The panel will also discuss other recent cases impacting ERISA litigation.
The panelists are Denise Clark, the Law Office of Denise M. Clark; Elizabeth Hopkins, U.S. Department of Labor; and Sara Pikofsky, Jones Day.
