On Wednesday, May 18, the DC Bar Association will hold a program titled Essential Checklist for Electronic Discovery in 2011 at the DC Bar Association, 1101 K. Street, NW, Washington, DC. It will run from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
The course will offer a guide to practitioners seeking proper management of discoverable information stored in electronic format. The faculty, John Facciola, U.S. magistrate judge, and Conrad Jacoby of efficientEDD will review the governing procedural rules and legal opinions that are shaping the current legal landscape in electronic discovery. They will offer practical advice for requesting, producing and working with electronically stored information in discovery and at trial. Participants will learn of the issues that regularly come up in e-discovery, such as preserving potentially relevant data, negotiating agreements and orders, developing and implementing an electronic discovery plan, and preparing disclosures under Rules 26(f). Each participant will be provided with sample checklists and forms for both requesting and responding parties.
