DataCert is sponsoring a seminar featuring Richard Susskind and industry leaders to examine critical trends in the legal industry and develop a framework for driving change.
Titled The Generals of the Revolution, the seminar will be held in New York City on Wednesday, September 29, from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m., at the New York Hilton, located at 1335 Avenue of the Americas.
This event is being co-sponsored by InsideCounsel and the General Counsel Forum. It will feature Richard Susskind, author of The Future of Law and The End of Lawyers?: Rethinking the Nature of Legal Services. Panelists will include top legal department executives from AOL and Datacert, and law firm leaders from Beirne, Maynard & Parsons, LLP and Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe LLP.
"In-house lawyers are increasingly discerning, knowledgeable, and demanding customers, who are becoming ever more passionate about securing better service at lower costs," says Richard Susskind. "DataCert shares my conviction that general counsel are destined to play a major role in urging change within law firms and, thus, in the evolution of the legal profession. Their power and responsibility is massive." The focus of this seminar will be on how the in-house community can leverage this power to meet the massive responsibility Susskind alludes to in his books.
The seminar is complimentary and is expected to fill quickly. To view the agenda and to register, visit www.datacert.com/generals.
