Leading governance, proxy and ownership services firm D.F. King & Co., Inc., an AST Company, announced that Geoffrey Weinberg has joined as a Senior Vice President in the Extraordinary Events Group. In this role, Weinberg will work in the corporate proxy department in the firm’s New York office on M&A transactions and contested solicitations, including activist defense assignments.
Weinberg was previously an attorney with Weil, Gotshal & Manges LLP in the Mergers & Acquisitions practice group. At Weil, he participated in the representation of public and private companies in shareholder activism defense, proxy contests, mergers & acquisitions and divestitures.
