On Tuesday, October 27, the Lawyers Alliance for New York presented the Cornerstone Awards to honor outstanding pro bono service to New York nonprofit organizations by members of the New York legal community. The award is given to individuals and firms who have helped nonprofit organizations deliver essential services to strengthen low-income communities and improve the quality of life for thousands of New Yorkers in need. The alliance helps nonprofits to develop affordable housing, stimulate economic development, and operate vital programs for children and young people, the elderly, recent immigrants, and other low-income New Yorkers.
This year's institutional honorees are Paul, Hastings, Janofsky & Walker LLP and Seyfarth Shaw LLP. The individuals who are being honored are Peter L. Curry, Farrell Fritz, P.C.; Keith E.
