Colorado Ethics Program BackBy Popular Demand

The Colorado Bar Association has scheduled its annual Ethics and Professionalism program - Choosing the Path to a Quality Career - on Thursday, October 21, at the CLECI Large Classroom, 1900 Grant Street in Denver.

This program uses a stimulating, interactive legal theater format. Participants will be entertained by a distinguished panel through a series of interactive vignettes that encompass each of the ethical and professional dilemmas attorneys face on a daily basis.

The morning will begin with a brief introduction to and history of professionalism, followed by a series of everyday scenarios in the life of a lawyer demonstrating the difficulties involved in handling ethical dilemmas. Difficult problem areas, such as the interaction between lawyers, clients and opposing counsel, bias issues, depositions, mentoring, client and counsel communication, and courtroom decorum are included. A discussion about how ethics and professionalism are intertwined will end the program.

The faculty includes John T. Baker, John T. Baker, P.C.; Hon. Russell E. Carparelli, Colorado Court of Appeals; and John S. Gleason, regulation counsel, Office of Attorney Regulation Counsel.
