CO Bar's Conference In Vail Includes IP Track

At its National CLE Conference in Vail this January, the Colorado Bar will include an Intellectual Property program.

The conference is scheduled for Wednesday, January 6 through Sunday, January 10 at the Marriott Mountain Resort in Vail.

An early morning and late afternoon schedule will allow attendees time to enjoy the mountain setting, and ample CLE credits and networking opportunities will be provided.

Among the topics to be explored over the five-day program include a trademark and copyright update panel, an internet panel,recent developments in licensing case law, invalidity under Section 112, current patent issues facing the federal circuit, and a patent corporate counsel panel.

On Friday morning, an academic panel will discuss Perspectives on Dilution Law with Robert Brauneis of George Washington University Law School and Laura Bradford of the George Mason University Law School speaking.

Saturday's afternoon session features an in-house counsel panel discussion with Michael Pantalony of Louis Vuitton Malletier S.A. talking about anti-counterfeiting strategies; Audrey Yayon-Dauvet of Pernod Ricard S.A. discussing global domain name strategies; Gerhard Bauer, chief trademark counsel of Daimler AG discussing outsourcing IP administration; and Mei-Lan Stark, senior vice president, Intellectual Property, Fox Entertainment Group Inc. providing an update on the right of publicity.
