The Colorado Bar Association is hosting a National CLE Conference at the Marriott Mountain Resort in Vail from Wednesday to Sunday, January 6 to 10.
An early morning and late afternoon CLE format will allow attendees the time to enjoy the beautiful mountain setting. Morning sessions begin at 7 a.m. and adjourn at 9 a.m., and afternoon programs begin at 4:30 and run until 6:30 p.m. Networking opportunities are scheduled throughout.
Among the many programs that will be offered is Labor & Employment Law, with topics thatinclude an employment discrimination law update; labor law for the employment lawyer; FMLA and USERRA update; a wage and hour law overview; ERISA for the employment lawyer; whistle blowing, retaliation, and Sarbanes-Oxley;and electronic discovery issues.
On Friday afternoon the bar will present a mock trial, Sharon Donaldson v. Empire Car Rental Company, with the Hon. Wiley Young Daniel, U.S. Dist. Court for Colorado, presiding and a full complement of lawyers and witnesses, and, at the end, comments by participants.
