Clifford Chance's Americas region has notified its incoming Summer law clerks that the Firm's 2020 program will proceed, with each law clerk working remotely to accommodate the necessary restrictions related to COVID-19.
This year's Summer program will run virtually, commencing in June, and deliver interactive training, hands-on work experience and networking opportunities. The length of the program will be confirmed shortly. A total of 39 law clerks will be working at the Firm this summer, including 27 in New York and 7 in Washington, DC. The Americas program will also include law clerks working internationally for the Firm's Hong Kong (1), London (2) and Frankfurt (2) offices.
Sarah Posner, Clifford Chance's head of Legal Recruiting in the Americas, said: "Each year we bring the brightest minds into the Firm as they begin their careers in law. Even working virtually, I believe our 2020 program will offer our clerks an authentic Clifford Chance experience. Our Americas team shifted to remote working more than four weeks ago and this year's class will get to experience how we're staying connected, working together and moving forward during these unprecedented times. We're excited to have them join us."
