Bar Of San Francisco To Explore Mining Rights

CERCLA Mining Remediation and Litigation is the title of an upcoming brown bag luncheon sponsored by the Bar Association of San Francisco on Thursday, April 16, at the BASF Conference Center, 301 Battery Street in San Francisco. It will run from noon to 1:45 p.m.

Moderator Karl Morthole, the Law Offices of Karl Morthole, will explore the following topics: a case study ofUSEPA - the managed cleanup of a gold-mining site, a discussionof the effects of residential development on and around the site, subsequent costs recovery litigation in federal courts and related judicial and administrative processes, and a window to CERCLA impacts in mining/residential developments.

Other speakers include Daniel Reidy, the Law Offices of Daniel F. Reidy; Larry Bradfish, Office of the Regional Counsel USEPA Region 9; Raymond Will, MS, mining and civil engineer and environmental assessor and expert witness, Todd Engineers; and Tom Erwin, Erwin & Thompson LLP.
