On Thursday, September 23, the New Jersey Institute for Continuing Legal Education presents Arbitration Training. The program is at the New Jersey Law Center at One Constitution Square in New Brunswick, New Jersey.The scheduled event begins at 9:00 a.m. and will end at 1:00 p.m.
Participants who attend this course will satisfy the initial training requirements for court-approved arbitrators in New Jersey. The program will offer arbitrators tips on skills and techniques they can use to fairly and effectively arbitrate cases. Attendees will gain an understanding of the types of cases currently being referred to arbitration under the New Jersey court-annexed civil arbitration program. The seminar will also provide information on the application process for those wishing to become arbitrators in New Jersey.
This program is presented by a panel of experienced arbitrators and the ACC's chief of civil court programs. The panelist include Robert E. Margulies, past chair, NJSBA Dispute Resolution Section and principal at Margulies Wind and Michelle V. Perone, chief, Civil Court Programs, Administrative Office of the Courts.
