Advanced Antitrust Seminar In San Francisco

The Practising Law Institute has scheduled a two-day event titled Advanced Antitrust Seminar 2009: Distribution & Marketing for Tuesday and Wednesday, January 20 and 21, at the PLI California Center, 685 Market Street in San Francisco.

The session will begin at 9 a.m. and end at 5:00 p.m. on day one and begin at 9 a.m. and end at 4:45 p.m. on day two.

Designed for in-house and outside counsel and government attorneys who confront distribution and marketing issues in their practices, this program will provide antitrust practitioners with strategies to deal with complex distribution and marketing issues while reviewing the latest trends in the industry and offering practical advice about what works and what doesn't at both the federal and state levels. Among the issues that will be discussed are the evolving pricing law in the wake of the Supreme Court's Leegin decision, bundling law and strategies, practical approaches to exclusivity, incentive arrangements and other distribution issues, corporate compliance and ethical issues, the importance of litigation under state law, and enforcement at federal and state levels.

The faculty includes nationally known experts in this field. Among them are L. Kathleen Durousseau, senior corporate counsel/corporate compliance officer, Longs Drug Stores Corp; Kathleen E. Foote, senior assistant attorney general, California Department of Justice; and David P. Wales, acting bureau director, Federal Trade Commission.
