The Southern California ACC Chapter has planned its annual charity golf tournament to take place Monday, August 30, at the Old Ranch Country Club, 3901 Lampson Ave. in Seal Beach, California.
Check in on the day of the tournament begins at 11:00 a.m., and a barbecue lunch will begin at 11:30. Free practice range access will be provided and a putting contest will be held with a $3,000 prize. Shotgun will begin at 12:30 p.m. The dinner reception with complimentary cocktails will being around 5:00 p.m.
All proceeds from the sale of Mulligan packages, opportunity drawing tickets and silent auction will benefit this year's designated legal charity - the Orange County Public Law Center. The Public Law Center, Orange County's pro bono law firm, is committed to providing access to justice for low-income residents. Through volunteers and staff, the Public Law Center provides free civil legal services, including counseling, individual representation, community education, and strategic litigation and advocacy to challenge societal injustices.
Now in its 25th year, PLC is supported by the involvement of volunteer lawyers from throughout the county. In the year 2005 alone, PLC staff and volunteers provided 36,000 hours of free legal services in handling more than 2,700 cases, serving a total of 12,150 low-income children, adults and seniors in Orange County.
