ACC SoCal Multivenue Event: E-discovery In Employment Cases

The Southern California ACC chapter has scheduled a CLE Seminar titled Special Considerations for Electronic Discovery in Employment Cases on Wednesday, November 10.

This is a multi-venue event that will be held at various locations for breakfast or lunch. Breakfast programs, which run from 7:30 a.m. to 9:15 a.m., will be held in Pasadena and Irvine. Lunch programs will run from 11:30 a.m. to 1:15 p.m. in Downtown LA, Torrance, and Westlake Village.

Discrimination and harassment cases present unique challenges to employers when it comes to electronic evidence because the administrative process, which may be the first reasonable notice an employer has that an employee may file suit, can take months or years. During that time, employees have left and their computers and perhaps valuable evidence may have been destroyed, and the normal course of business has probably resulted in hardware and software upgrades and updated policies and procedures, making it difficult to retrieve electronic evidence. Find out why it's never too early to implement a litigation hold and preserve evidence in an employment case.
