ACC will offer a two-day seminar titled Driving Value in Inside/Outside Counsel Relationships on Tuesday and Wednesday, May 3 and 4, at the Chicago Marriott O'Hare, 8534 West Higgins Road in Chicago.
Tuesday's program begins at 8:00 a.m. and ends at 6:30 p.m. and is followed by a reception. Wednesday's program begins at 8:30 a.m. and adjourns at 3:00 p.m.
The event opens with a workshop on designing the perfect law firm or law department; the next segment will focus on value-based fee structures and case studies as exercises; and the final segment will look at process management and staffing decisions.
On Wednesday, the topics are Project and Budget Management, and How to Get it Done - Practical Solutions to Real Life Problems. Participants will develop skills in valuing legal work to set fees without using an hourly basis; using project management skills to establish milestones to ensure budgets stay on track; and overcoming impediments to change.
