Georgetown Law CLE and the Association of Corporate Counsel have scheduled their 12th Annual Corporate Counsel Institute.
The event will take place on Thursday and Friday, March 6 and 7 at the Georgetown University Law Center, 600 New Jersey Avenue, NW, Washington, DC. Sessions will run from 8:45 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. on Thursday and from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
Panelists will cover topics such as: Employment Law Update: The Internet & the Workplace; Campaign Finance, Ethics, and Lobbying Laws You Need to Know; How Major Changes in Patent Law Will Impact Your Corporations; Compliance for Companies Doing Business Across Borders; Follow the Money - Tips for Doing Business Internationally, and Media Relations: What Every Corporate Counsel Needs to Know.
The keynote speaker will be Associate Justice Anthony M. Kennedy of the U.S. Supreme Court. Among other speakers are the Hon. Paul D. Clement, solicitor general of the United States; the Hon. Deborah Platt Majoras, chairman of the U.S. Federal Trade Commission, and Linda Chatman Thomsen, director of the Division of Enforcement, SEC.
