Wake up to the Future is the title of an upcoming one-day CLE conference for multinational corporate counsel that will be hosted by ACC SFBA and Eversheds LLP.
The conference is scheduled for Wednesday, September 17, at the Hyatt Regency Hotel, 1333 Bayshore Highway, Burlingame, California. It will begin at 9 a.m. with introductions and a keynote address by Dan Cooperman, senior vice president, general counsel, and secretary of Apple, Inc. and adjourn at 5:00 p.m. to a cocktail reception.
The program will provide vital information to help multinational corporate law departments deal with the following issues: more accountability for cost and contribution; the fast pace of globalization and the associated risks; aggressive enforcement action and regulatory cooperation worldwide; the distraction and damage from class actions, interest groups, and the media; and getting greater value and predictability from law firms. Top-level speakers such as Graham Allan, vice president and deputy general counsel, Cisco Systems Inc., Michael Fink, assistant general counsel, International Starbucks Corp., and Krista J. Ebbens, senior legal counsel, Brady Corp. will provide practical approaches to the problems in-house counsel encounter in a challenging global market.
