Within the last few years, the incidences of white collar crime have been on the rise. Practitioners are therefore invited to join the ABA on Wednesday through Friday, February 24-26, for its annual institute on White Collar Crime.
The meeting will be located at Eden Roc Renaissance, 4525 Collins Avenue, Miami Beach, Florida.
On Wednesday, registration begins at noon and is followed by programs from 2:00 p.m. until 5:30 pm.On Thursday the daily schedule is 8:00 a.m. through 5:00 p.m. followed by a reception from 6:30 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. Friday's sessions begin at 9:15 a.m., and the meeting will adjourn at 1:00 p.m.
In the 24th year of this national institute, join over one thousand attendees consisting of judges, federal, state and local prosecutors, other law enforcement officials, defense attorneys, corporate in-house counsel, and members of the academic community to be updated on the latest legal trends in white collar crime.
Attendees will learn what they need to know about a variety of topics including criminal antitrust enforcement, securities fraud, foreign corrupt practices, environmental crime and ethical issues involved in white collar cases. They will explore handling high-profile cases, coping with multiple parallel criminal, civil and administrative proceedings and counsels' responsibility for audit committees.
