At Konica Minolta, corporate citizenship is an integral part of our management philosophy, “The Creation of New Value.” As a corporate neighbor, we strive to uphold the highest standards of social responsibility through our innovative products, solutions and practices. We believe that through our efforts we can help find solutions to the problems our world faces to create a bright and sustainable tomorrow for future generations.
Each year, Konica Minolta engages in a variety of community efforts nationwide and globally. Our philanthropic focus is on childhood education, hunger relief and personal wellness. Efforts include regular monetary donations to reputable nonprofits such as Feeding America, The Golden Apple Foundation and Rebuilding Together. We also provide opportunities and encourage our employees to participate in several giving initiatives annually.
Konica Minolta has had a busy 2014 with multiple successful efforts. This past spring, we held our annual Books2BETTER campaign. We collected more than 2,000 new books and donated them to young students from low-income families. Employee volunteers packed the books into backpacks and delivered them to a local school where they then read to multiple classrooms.
This past summer, we held our yearly Food for Thought program. Employees donated nutritious, child-friendly food and packed meals for children whose families can’t afford them during the summer vacation season. We were able to provide thousands of meals to local food banks.
This November, Konica Minolta employees are raising funds to support Men’s Health awareness through the Movember Foundation. So far, over $8,000 has been raised. Employees are forming teams, growing moustaches and raising funds and awareness for this important cause.
At Konica Minolta, commitment to our customers and the communities where they live and work is at the core of our corporate philosophy. Our community efforts benefit every aspect of our business. They improve our communities, enhance our corporate reputation, and engage our employees. As a technology company, we feel it is essential to support our next generation and their families, as today’s youth will be tomorrow’s innovators.
